RYLA 2007 in Subic

RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is Rotary's leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants can be ages 14-30, but most clubs and districts choose to focus on a narrower age range, such as 14-18 or 19-30. It was held in Subic, Zambales last October 26 to 28, 2007.

RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and personal growth, and aims to
* Demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth
* Provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders
* Encourage leadership of youth by youth
* Recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities

MACRO Rotaractors in Action

Rotaractors from Macro Computer College namely Caridad and Richelle participated in the Literacy Program of RC Vigan. It is currently conducted at Domingo Ragasa Multimedia Resource Center, Pangada Elementary School catering to elementary pupils of the said school. Sec. Don and Dir. Heidel were present to oversee the program.

Tree Planting at ICMS

After the tree planting at ICST, seminarians of Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary (ICMS) also helped in the Tree Planting Program of RC Vigan held in the ICMS Farm located in Ayusan Sur, Vigan City. Rev. Fr. Felix Costales - Rector of ICMS, helped out also in digging holes for planting.

Tree Planting at ICST

Seminarians and priest alike lent a hand in the Tree Planting Program of RC Vigan held at the Immaculate Conception School of Theology (ICST). ICST is the regional seminary in Northern Luzon for future priests.
Dir. Heidel, Dir. Steve & Rtn. Ely were present to guide and help them. Also present were Rev. Fr. Marlon and Rev. Fr. John Habawel - Rector of ICST.

Rotarians become MTB riders

After a successful Medical/ Dental Mission in Brgy. Cadanglaan, Magsingal, we rode our bikes on a 25 kilometer trip to Bantay via Lingsat.

LNHS Interactors participate in Medical/ Dental Mission

The Officers of Interact Club of LNHS participated in the Medical/ Dental Mission sponsored by RC Vigan held in Cadanglaan, Magsingal. Dir. Heidel and Asst. Dir. Date met with the officers to plan for the Day Care/ Tutorial Project for children (2 to 5 years old) to be implemented in the same barangay. The said plan will take effect on October 21. 14 children registered for the Day Care/ Tutorial Project.
